What should I do?
Well, I am thinking about buying another Guild Wars account, because the current one I'm using is actually mines but my big brother playes with it and used the all 8 slots.
I'm thinking, what should I do 1 - Wait for the Guild Wars 2 game to come out? 2 - Not to wait and simpley buy the game... Any suggestions? |

Make your big brother buy you a new account.

GW2 has no release date as yet so you may as well go ahead and make your brother buy you another copy of the game. You can pick up the Trilogy pack relatively cheaply in a variety of places.

Alright thanks fpr informing me about the unknown releasing date (lol).
About my brother, actually he bought GW for my birthday and he started to play beofre he even gave it to me.... Anyways, I think I'll buy the game, although that would be exhausting to start a new character :S EDIT : My last question will be if I can buy only an account key without the gmae itself as I have it already installed. The client and the accounts are separate. You can download the client from the website without ever owning the game (you just can't log in and play). If you don't want to go to a store and have a credit card/other appropriate means of payment you can buy through the in game store. That is probably more expensive than buying elsewhere online or irl, but is instant (Steam is the only other instant delivery method, I think they have a deal on Guild Wars at the moment, but that might have ended already). Have a quick shop around, if you can wait a few days for delivery you could pick up a good bargain. |

As far as i know if you buy the game from the Guild wars online shop they only e-mail you the account key and tell you to download the game itself off the website, the guild wars trilogy (thats prophecies, factions and nightfall, you have to buy EOTN seperately) is ??29.99 at the guild wars online shop ,thats $49.99 if your American.

When you buy the box, you are actually only purchasing the account key. The retail box and contents are window dressing. Anyone can download the game client from guildwars.com, but you cannot play (other than the trial) without an account key.

HAHAHA i was in the same exact situation as you. What i did was bought the eotn package instead of guild wars 2 because the release date was not set set. Another thing you can do is buy two or three character slots which i htink are cheaper than buying a game. any which way you choose, i would not wait for guild wars 2 to come out.

@ Kim i think he needs a new account coz he wants to play at the same time as his brother does... buying new character slots wont help with this..
On steam however you can buy the Trilogy pack for ??24.99 (all 3 games not eotn) and eotn i think is on there for about ??12.99 |

Delete your brothers toons and then change the password and POOF one account. I grew up with 3 brothers, 2 older and one younger...we never really had computer games like this one so...we just stole the tapes - Commodore 64 don'tcha know...

Personally I would get the Guild Wars: The Complete Collection because you get EotN as well as all three campaigns. In the UK you can get it online at play.com and amazon.co.uk. Not sure about other places.

Right so your brother bought you a birthday present, used it before he even gave it to you as a present and then pretty much used it for himself even after he gave it to you, forcing you to not be able to play?
No offence but he sounds like an asshole who owes you another copy of the game. It should be him buying you a new copy, not you who has to fork out the money. |

Buy GW1. GW2 is not coming out for at least a year.

Depends how reasonable your Brother is about these things.
You could buy another account for yourself or for him and whoever ends up with the original account meets up and passes a few things over to give the new player a little help. |

Well, I'd be glad to delete his characters and change the passwords but the problem is that he bought it for me two years ago, and I played it a lot. Actually I said something that is not true, he did open the game and started to play just because of curiousity, and then gave it to me. I played it for like three months, finished the Prophecies and then I got bored of it (perhaps because I was too newbie and just thought that there is not fun in PvP ). And he started to play. Now after two years he has like three awesome characters which each one of them has "kick-ass" builds and armors and such, erasing these characters would be to meen...
I still don't know what to do, I'm not to sure about my play time, i might parchuse that game but i won't play after one month (maybe..). anyways, thanks to all of those who care about my issue EDIT : Problem got fixed. Last edited by nizaru; Jun 24, 2009 at 01:10 PM // 13:10.. |
